It’s Time to Execute Your Telehealth Content Improvement Plan

by

For any SEO campaign to be successful, it’s vitally important to have a solid grasp on the type of content that performs well on your website. To do this, you must closely monitor your site performance and look for ways to optimize the content to improve traffic and conversion rates.

When you create a content improvement plan, the lowest-performing pages and content should be prioritized. You may find that small tweaks are all that’s needed to improve website traffic to certain pages. For other pages, you may elect to completely rewrite the content and test it to see if traffic numbers increase significantly.

The key to any effective content improvement plan is to be specific about the what, when, and how:

• Determine exactly what you will change

• Assign deadlines of when the work will be done

• Document how you will evaluate website metrics to new or updated pages.

There are several approaches you can take to optimize your website content:

1. Repurpose your content. You may have content from blogs, emails, and even social media posts that can be used to refresh your web pages. Repurposing related content from other sources is a great way to update your website without sinking time and expense into writing new text.

2. Rewrite your content. In some cases, it may be best to simply rewrite your existing content. It can be helpful to analyze high-performing content and incorporate those elements when you do the rewrites.

3. Add more to your content. To quickly improve your search engine ranking, expanding your content is a strategy to consider. According to SEMrush, pages with 3,000+ words generated three times more web traffic.

4. Update your content. In many cases, your content may need more timely statistics or commentary. It’s always best to avoid referencing dates to keep your content evergreen. However, making sure your pages have the most up-to-date, accurate information is an easy way to boost traffic.

5. Redesign your content. Do you have images, infographics, or videos on your web pages? If not, then adding these elements should be part of your content improvement plan. They’re a great way to keep visitors on your pages for longer and get them the information they need without having to read through blocks of text.

6. Revise your calls-to-action. You should ensure that you detail each specific action you want web visitors to take and have a CTA that encourages that action. Having clear CTAs will reduce confusion and ultimately improve your website’s conversion rates.

Chances are, this would be a good time for you to execute a website content audit and put a thorough content improvement plan into action. The key is to be detailed on what you will do and measure how the changes affect your website traffic numbers and new patient acquisition.
